Does anyone have a daytime phone nunmber for Jon Casamajor KN6EL. He sent
me a nice map of the Northern Cal/Nevada DX Packet Spotting Network that I
would like to talk to him about.

Thanks, John Pescatore WB2EKK

1. Trailing dits, especially freestanding Es are a pain on CW and often lost,
believe me (says n6azE), so
much so that I asked Ken Wolff to add the option of a half space and
weighting to the canned CW exchanges in CT to set off and add punch to the
difficult
trailing E, and he's going to do it. Mike Baker KA6SAR, a great CW opr,
often contests from W6EEN, and uses greater than normal spacing to make
the Es stand out on CW.

2. I always liked CW calls that left a pleasing, memorable pattern in your
mind, like a haiku verse-- NM7T, and Dick Spenceley's KV4AA are examples.

3. CW contest call from hell: JJ1JJJ/9.

HS1A might disagree.

When I was in the Seychelles I considered applying for S73TU as a callsign,
but requested something shorter for the contest. What they gave me was
not quite what I requested, but I decided it was good enough.

I wonder if I will be able to trade in WA1VBE, or if club stations will
be able to request the call of a deceased member. I plan to keep my
primary US callsign.
