1994 Wisconsin QSO Party Score Rumors & Comments 3/22/94
One last update to the WQP rumors. Note the
additional soapbox comments I received. Should be
worth at least a chuckle. Congrats to N2AA for
apparently being the Internet winner of a pound
of cheese for his 7,600 point showing in the WQP.

ADDITIONAL SOAPBOX COMMENTS RECEIVED:
K6XO/7: not enough activity on the high bands.
I was able to work a few stations on 40, but it was marginal from here.
20 was much better, but hardly anyone came up to 20. No stations heard on
15 or 10, but that was not a big surprise. No stations heard on 80 or 160,
but again, no surprise. Needless to say, I did not put in seven hours on
this either.
WV9T: Put up a 40m dipole at brother in-law's house and operated from
unheated garage! In-laws now convinced I'm nuts. Working K6NA at his
local noon time was cool, but biggest thrill was CT1BOH calling me on
40 CW at 45 wpm. Maybe next year I can find a real station to operate from.
WW1M/4: No cheese for me this year, but plenty of
cheesecake driving along Daytona Beach! After starting the contest fixed
mobile in a friend's driveway, I headed for the beach. Stations reported a
substantial increase in my signal strength after I began driving on the
beach.
Must be that large ground plane 50' to the east.

Need a room for two of my guys. I have one room in the FRC block at the
Hampton House in Englewood, and want one more as close as possible.
Tnx Bob
