You've got to be kidding! Why all the baloney and
name calling etc about vanity calls ... Who cares?
... What's the difference? ... I'll just say aloha
for a year or so until this vanity crap fades out.

Gang,

The CQ WW 160 Contests start this week end with the CW section from 2200Z
Friday to 1600Z on Sunday. USA/VE sends RST + State or Province. DX
sends RST Plus location.

There are two new plaques for Multi Ops in Zone 3 (CW and SSB) sponsored by
4X4NJ (Thanks to Jim Wilson N7JW for arranging the sponsorship). Top Zone
3 Multi op on both modes gets a plaque.

Points to remember:

        1. Respect the Dx window.
        2. No E-mail logs yet (Arranaging for next year).
        3. Diskette with summary sheet and dup list (no need to send
the entire paper log.
        4. Paper/hand written logs accepted.
        5. Be sure you can read ALL of your log and/or the summary and
dup sheet.
        6. Check thru your log for errors....remember you can make
errors..CORRECT THEM
                or pay the penalty!

This is the best way to work new states and countries. Good luck and habe fun.

It looks like I will be paying a house call to a customer in Mountain View, CA
the first week of February. I don't know what my free time will be like, but I
would be interested in a club meeting or the like. Any particular ham sites of
interest someone would care to point out?

Can I drop my CQP tee shirt fee off in person and pick up the results?

Does anyone know if the phone number for C&S Engineering (219-485-1458)
given at the end of the article, "Beverage Antennas," is accurate or not?
I've dialed it only to get a private residence. I'd hate like hell to have
to explain to a non-initiate why I want to protect my Beverage from
unwanted RF. I have rf-protection on the receive antenna (yes, singular,
unfortunately), but would like to play around with the project described by
KD9ZV. Idle hands..., you know.
