What started off as a "what has happened to my award" seems to have
turned around into a "lets do away with the Plaques" while the point
of ascertaining what needs to be done to expedite the timely delivery
seems to have been missed ! If I turned the tables around and said
that your contact with ZC4 is good but you would have to wait 3 years
for a QSL card, I think most of you would get the picture !!

Interesting idea by Rich, and the offers of .html help by Kyle. But
think about some of the rarer DX stations (and award winners) that do
not have 'easy' access to internet and would not be able to see their
award !!

Or inviting Ham friends around and saying, "Hey wait a few minutes,
let me fire up the putah and show you my latest certificate
!!". Somehow this doesnt seem fitting for all the effort you put into
that contest.

Personally I have spent around 10 years contesting at only 100
watts. I set the low power record in 1991 in CQWW-phone from ZC4BS at
5.3Meg (since beaten). At the time there was no sponsor for the world
low power class. However, recently it has been great to see new
sponsors supporting us "little guns" both at CQ and at home (thanks to
Chiltern DX Club).

So please don't believe that trophies and plaques are a waste of time,
good grief it will be QSL cards next and then do away with the whole
Ham Radio award system.

Just thought I'd share a few thoughts from a DX perspective !
