If you are using packet to spot mults, spot yourself, encourage a friend to
spot you, or have it on via radio or telnet, you have put yourself in the
multi-op category. There is not gray line here.
What about friends helping friends spot mults (like "hey Tom, did you catch
the VY1 on 21.040?)on the same radio you are using to operate? That debate has
raged in the past. The consensus has always been that this practice is what
makes SS fun and encourages camaraderie. It has no parallel with using another
"box" (radio, computer, telephone) to gain an advantage.
