Friends,
A reader of the NCJ, Mike K5NZ, has suggested the theme for a fun NCJ
article. Mike suggested I the more active contesters and see who they pick as
fellow contesters to watch out for in the coming year. Much like the
sportscasters do about teams before the games begin. Some of you got this
message direct and I already have your "picks' - Thank you very much.
Please take a moment to list the contesters you want us to list in this
article. Add a one or two sentence note of why you think they belong on the
list of "Hot Picks for the 1999 Contest Season." They can be serious or
comical (in good taste, of course! hehehe...) I will merge your lists into
one article and I WILL NOT INDICATE WHO NOMINATED WHO.
Possible "Hot Picks" Categories

a. Rookies Coming on Strong
1. Young ops (< 20 ) special mention
b. New Stations/Antennas to Lift an Already Good Op
c. Oldies But Goodies Making an Aggressive Reappearance
d. Seasoned Stars Continuing to Rise to New Heights
e. Emerging Multi-op Stations (What category - M/S, M/M, etc.?)
f. VHF/UHF Specialist
g. RTTY Specialist
