Sylvan,

At the moment, the web results are available "early" to League members and
are not available to the public until approx. 30 days after being published
in QST. Obviously this is an attempt to encourage people to join the
League.

However, that does not mean that this will continue once the line scores
move to the web. If you think about it, since the line scores will never be
published again after 1 Jan 2003, there is no longer a purpose to the delay.

So, I would not be at all surprised if this policy changes after the 1st.
But that is a guess on my part -- Dan N1ND up at ARRL Hq would be a better
person to ask that of.

Excellent point! 15 days is a small saving -- 6-12 months is a big saving.
It would be less disruptive to leave the submission window at 30 days and
have the results posted to the web within 60 days.

BUT what happens if you are not an ARRL member - do you have to wait an
additional 30 days until, for example, the SS results are release from the
members only section? I have never understood the logic of encouraging
everyone to enter contests and then penalizing non-ARRL members with a 30
day waiting period. I wonder if this annoying and discriminating policy will
change with movement of line scores to the web?
