I'm sorry there are a few jerks out there, but really don't think that was 
representative.  I didn't hear anything like that, and heard a number of 
big dogs slowed down to 13 WPM.  I also didn't have a single station ask me 
to QRS, though a few obviously had trouble copying till I slowed 'way 
down.  I was glad to.

My best advice for a new guy would be to wait till Sunday afternoon, when 
everyone has slowed down, and people are fishing on the high end of the 
bands.  It's much more rewarding and less intimidating than the first few 
hours.  The designated slow zones high in the bands also aren't so crowded 
as on Saturday night, when the mob spreads far up the band.
