Indeed.  It's easy enough to post a spot with a different "spotted by"
callsign.  Every year on Halloween there is a plethora of
questionable callsigns such as SP0OK, GH0UL, GH0ST, G0BLIN, etc. in both
the "DX" and the "spotted by" columns of Packetcluster.

And there's the famous AP1RIL club station giving out bonus points in the
Poisson d'Avril contest each year.
