[CQ-Contest] ARRL 10M packet rules

Hmmm, "Packet Rules" sounds like a political statement from the likes of
Beavis and Butthead . . . .

Yes, using Packet means you're multi-op, which is perfectly logical from the
"original" pre-packet definition of packet. And most contest and rules are
from the pre-packett days.

And if you're multiop you are by the nature of the contest/rules required to
be multimode if you want to be multiop, which is why I haven't consider
multiop operation - I'd rather work on improving my less than stellar CW :)

Now, I do LOVE this contest, BUT it already has a plethora of categories. If
we add CW assisted, SSB assisted, Multimode assisted, multiop CW, etc etc
there will be so many categories that making topten will mean less
(admittedly, I have more aluminum than skill/brains, so that *does* color my
opinion).

This contest already has plenty of categories! That said, I will refrain
from voicing strong opinions as I'm on the rail on this one - "We don't need
no stinking new categories" vs. "I'd love to see a Multiop CW category."

And I will NOT go as far as to repeat the popular refrain among some
contesters of "Packet Sucks" :) I use it, just not in contests unless the
rules encourage it.
