[CQ-Contest] Packet/internet spotting

My observation about packet pileups:

On Sunday afternoon in ARRL CW, there were so few DX stations
that were running that had not been worked, that anything that
was spotted drew an incredibly large, and generally unruly,
pileup; it seems that the larger the pileup, the more stations
that sent their callsigns 4,5, and 6 times, making it impossible
to hear the DX station.

And many of those spots were busted calls, off by one digit,
or with transposed letters, so those that did get thru often
were dupes, since they never could hear the DX station's
call, and thought it was a new station.

And I don't think there is a solution, except to get on
earlier in the contest so you've worked everyone by Sunday!
