I am not an FCC lawyer, and I don't play one on TV, but I don't think using
his call gives you his operating privileges unless you have the same level
of privileges. A General licensee cannot operate in the Advanced or Extra
band segments just because they are using the station of an Extra, unless
that person is directly supervising their transmission (ie., is the Control
Operator).
