For a newcomer, this is a very astute observation.  I think many OT's, like 
myself, would certainly agree.

In all seriousness, 75 (the SSB portion) has always been rated PG - or worse.  
It is a hostile environment, but it's part of the full spectrum of behaviors we 
see in ham radio, that parallels society.

In contrast, bands like 15m and 10m seem placid.
