I love the minus-sign, quick QSX as well.  However, on

75m especially, one often finds that the DX station 
has picked a not-so-good frequency as a stateside QSO 
is going on there.  Not a good practice to fire up on 
a frequency on which you've never listened.

So I try to listen first... perhaps I'm too nice a 
guy. A few times the QSO overheard was a discussion 
about how much fun it is to camp out during a contest 
and mess with the corn-testers. ;-)
