Don't delay them, make real time mean 'real time'.  Heck, with all the
spots its easy enough to find out who is on what band, what frequency
they are on, and if you want to waste the time you can go listen to what
they are working... or if you are good you put one vfo on them and see
if they are running faster than you are and try to figure out why.

You might be amazed sometime to find out how many ears are just
listening to the big multi's call cq.  It is not unusual to hear someone
yell at a rare mult 'up 5' after they call you.  And I know there are
many times when I have dialed up the band and heard a rare mult call
someone else and have quickly gone and called cq just up or down the
band hoping to snag them.  So there is nothing really to hide.
