And when the scores are printed in QST, a
non-contester (probably new ham) may accidently
stumble across the article and scores while paging
through the magazine. They may even see some familar
calls from the local area. They may see the scores
and think "Wow, is it really possible to make that
many QSOs or work that many countries in a single
weekend" and then give the next contest a try. We
probably got some contesters in the past this way.
This is probably less likely to happen on the
internet.
