Just one thing bothers me abit about the NILs. May the log checkers forgive
me if I am not right but the times of the QSOs are not cross checked when
similar calls are being searched in the logs in the case of NIL. Thus I
don't lose points when ES5TU is found in the log on this band anywhere
within this 48 hours.
Thus there are short calls that often escape -Ns as similar calls are found
on this band. For example I believe OK1A would almost never have any -Ns as
almost everybody works an OK1 station during the contest, may it be OK1ZZZ.
OK1A gets no penalty as OK1ZZZ differs by just one character.
Maybe there is some other factors taken into account still but that is just
one small seemingly unfair advantage for short calls it seems to me.
Time check would help here I guess...just an idea. I have seen UBNs of 4
digit OH or ES stations where they clearly "get away" from -Ns with this
"trick":)
