Yep! Blow-by. For some reason, when using CW filters in 706, there is a 
blow-by of 3-5 kHz off the center frequency, annoying high pitched "picture" of 
the 
signal. I have not taken magnifying glass to see what is causing it, it seems 
to be a problem with filter switching, layout. The same filters in other 
ICOMs do not exhibit that problem. 

For contesting I would use 350 Hz filters, for general CWing 500 is fine.
Otherwise gem of a little rig.
