My response was in two parts.
1) regarding N7MAL's question of what QTH the contester using the remote
base should have sent - the QTH of the transmitter (remote base). I believe
that is consistent with the intent of the current NAQP rules since the
current rules do not contain language that either allows or prevents this
type of operation. In fact this is not the first occurrence of the use of a
remote base in NAQP, although I'm unaware of any competitive logs that have
been submitted for this type of operation.
2) "...will be addressed in 2006 revised rules." This was merely a
statement that I realize that the rules need to address remote base
operations in NAQP. There are no rules yet drafted. However, there are a
number of issues that will need to be considered, some of which Mal has
enumerated.
