While it is clear that contest rules don't necessarily apply to non- 
participants, who make contacts but do not send in a log -- it is  
interesting to note that non-participants do NOT necessarily have to  
be excluded from the log-checking process.

The designers of Cabrillo had the foresight to include a special  
category for rule-breakers who wish their logs to be used for  
checking, but who otherwise cannot submit a score:

CATEGORY: CHECKLOG

This category is valid in any contest.

So, if you can't see fit to follow the rules, but want to submit a  
log - please mark your category appropriately.
