Regarding my prevous post with a few ideas on how to possibly attract new
(young) blood, shame on me for neglecting to mention one strong potential
"partner" in this matter Especially since both my parents were teachers & I
have a Lifetime Credential (but will not be used until the "paddle" is put back
into the school systems).

PTA's around the County may be a strategic key in making inroads to the youth
population.

With the extremely high percentage of youth being hit on by online Internet
perverts, what rational minded parent or teacher would turn away an alternative
for YouthCOMM like Ham Radio?

In my 49 years as a Licensee, I have never once heard of a young operator being
hit on, and neither myself or any of my young ham pals from yesteryear
experienced any problems. Reason suggests it is pretty difficult for a
Pedaphile to try and score on-air when hundreds of "witnesses" are probably
listening.

If you think a partnership with the PTAs of America to help get more young
people into our Hobby is a far-out idea, think again.

FYI & 73...
