The color situation can be remedied by purchasing only those bulbs that list
(brag about) their Color Temperature. I sell bulbs that are 6500K which is as
close to natural as you can find in your local Lowe's or that other big-box
store. You will have to look for them as they are the rarity, not the norm. I
use them over my work bench where I do stained glass and need true color
rendition to match colors in glass pieces.
I have not been bothered by the slightly longer warm up time.

I had them in every fixture here. I found them to be very quiet on the HF
