It's the fall contest season and the 2007 version of the Texas QSO Party
will be underway in just over two weeks. It's a good time to get ready for
the parties that follow including the California and Pennsylvania.
The Texas party has two sessions
Session 1: 1400Z September 29 - 0200Z September 30 (0900CDT-2100CDT 9/29/07)
Session 2: 1400Z September 30 - 2000Z September 30 (0900CDT-1500CDT 9/30/07)

Operating locations and notes for the fixed stations and routes for the
mobiles are posted at http://txqp.net/routes.htm. New stations are showing
up daily.
This year several of the mobiles are trying something new by posting using
Google Maps -- a technology mentioned in N4ZR's column in the most recent
NCJ. Check these out at www.no5w.com/CQxRoutePlans.html, follow the links,
and pull up the larger map to see a map and a sequential listing of the
counties to be covered by each mobile -- its an interesting way to
distribute your route plan via the internet. And while not making Qs you can
zoom in on some of the Texas country side along the tracks of the mobiles.
