Another thing that might explain.. sometimes "city dwellers" will be
tempted by all the fun on 160 and load up their 80M dipoles/slopers..
might be a reason for someone to hear a "lil' gun" as the antenna being
used would be resonant on that second harmonic.. I was remembering my
"Novice" days GRIN
Of course, this absolutely wouldn't apply to the well-engineered
contest-farm stations.
