Hi Ron, W3WN,
You say one question remains unanswered. Why do YOU want to look at MY log?
I'll answer your question directly. I don't want to look at YOUR log. In
fact, I don't really don't want to LOOK at any log. I did download and
analyze a few logs.
Before CQWW, Dave, AB7E, announced on the reflector that he had developed a
tool for analyzing logs and calculating the hour & frequency that zones were
worked in the analyzed logs. From comparing my results in CQWW CW as VY2TT
with other logs published on 3830 and in CQ Magazine, I know that I need to
improve my zone multiplier total. I know there are certain easy mults I have
missed. I used Dave's tool to analyze last year's CQWW CW logs of K5ZD,
VY2ZM, K1TTT and one or two other New England multi-ops. Then I looked to
see when the most stations in zones 1, 25, 26, 27, etc. were worked on each
band. I incorporated that information into my band plan. I definitely picked
up a few band zones as a result of that information.
73, Ken, K6LA / VY2TT
