The name Cabrillo is a pretty common name in California. Closer to "home,"
The Cabrillo Highway (also the Coast Highway) runs through Aptos, just south
of Santa Cruz. (Check on N5KO QTH...) Point Cabrillo is just south of Fort
Bragg, California and is home to one of the California lighthouses still in
operation.

Trivia Time!
I did some browsing but I couldn't find why the Cabrillo format was dubbed
'Cabrillo'. Anyone?
