I have run the past few SSs with a low dipole and barefoot power. Went QRO
this year to 150 watts by getting a TS950S! Not sure the extra 50 watts
makes a difference, but makes you feel louder, HI HI.
Would I do it QRP if necessary? Yes, at least the CW version. Probably
wouldn't try much on phone, that is too frustrating QRP. One nice challenge
of the SS is trying for a clean sweep. That can be accomplished QRP to a
dipole. Tough, but can be done.
