Its been years snce I entered the ARRL SS but the intent of the sweep was to
work all of the ARRL Sections and VE provinces and districts. RAC is the
official IARU body for Canada. IF they have added new sections in Canada
then
to get an ARRL SS sweep they must be worked.
AS I recall from the years I entered (1958 to 1963) the sweep was 73. US
sections have been added or deleted and this may the first time since then
that RAC has added sections.
More dramatic changes have been made since 1958 regarding hours, separation
of CW and Phone (er SSB), and changes in the exchange.
The SS is one contest where changes have been made over the years. Why not
enjoy the changes and make them a goal even if you don't think you will will
yoiur section or place high nationally.
