Hell, all three of the major DX contests that are CW only are usually on
holiday weekends (USA):
ARRL DX - presidents day weekend
WPX - memorial day weekend
CQWW - thanksgiving
Interestingly this year, owing to the calendar shifts, CQWW CW is the
weekend before thanksgiving - something that happens once every 8 to 10
years.
