How will that help him to share the COM port amongst different applications wanting to access the Yaesu's serial port?

@Ken:
You might want to google for "serial port splitter", there are a few applications available doing exactly this. Not sure they work perfect, last time I tried it myself there where some conflicts but that has been years ago now so things have probably changed a bit. ;-)

Think about an interface device such as the microHam microKEYER-II. (There are other devices out there in this application space, but this is the the unit that I'm familiar with.)

It runs off a single USB port and provides a serial port for rig control for your FT-2000 (or CI-V for ICom), an embedded WinKey for Morse, a capable DVK, tons of other features.

Product support is the best that I've seen ANYWHERE for any product.

Hi,

My main rig is an FT-2000 which has one serial port that I use all the
time for rig control with the N1MM logger (using a USB-serial cable). There are other programs that would also like to use the serial port and I wonder
if there is any way I can have two or more programs use the FT-2K's one
serial port at the same time?
