Because fewer and fewer people actually can or do "LISTEN" The Click and pounce crowd is getting bigger and bigger all the time. They hear people calling so they call,, They keep calling till they hear their own call. everything else is a blur and ignored. If they hear anyone calling they think it's also good for them to call so it is a self perpetuating mess! It is also a pet peeve of mine too. If i ever had the chance to be at the other end, I'd make a list of lid's like this, and make sure they never get worked.

But Just my own opinion.

Can someone explain to me why everyone calls all the time? It doesn't
matter if the other station is listening, sending an exchange, trying to get
a call. How many W# call when the DX sends N1?

This is just getting worse and worse. In CQWW I heard a DX station having
to send the exchange three and 4 times in a row to get the pileup to slow to
the point where the guy he's working could hear it!

Why?
