My check is 78...it's certainly not the easiest to send or receive, but I
stick to it even though sending 75, 77, 79 or 80 might be easier.

I keep it the same # for 3 reasons.

It *IS* my actual check.

I don't want to flub up the guy on the other end possibly either busting the
Q -or- costing me more time by repeating.

It will agree with any online databases if the other op chooses to use
it,(cuz I never change it) so if he hears "7garble MAR", then he may choose
to guess the 78 his prefill says is correct and move on.thus saving ME time
as well. (and it won't be a true guess as I never deviate from the real
check)

 

I like to use the prefills to save me typing time.  I don't type the
best-kindof a modified hunt and peck, so if I don't have to type it all out
except for corrections, then I am very happy !

 

People who change their check every year or their name in NAQP are not being
truly "cute" imo and are only hurting themselves.
