My bad story is using a KW into a tribander with an 40m inverted V fed two
feet under the tribander. My second receiver in an ICOM IC-730, no filter,
using the 40m ant, and tuned to a separate band, suffered within minutes
the burning off of the relay contacts of the PTT relay. ICOM factory
repair was baffled how I could have done that.

Good story is success with ICE 409, two, in line with two rigs including
two KWs. No mechanical nor electronic problems... just rcvr blocking for
about 10kc in different parts of different bands. Note that "apparently"
ICE no longer makes or sells the famous 409 but Array Solutions had
advertised their product also named 409.
