For those of you interested in actual data you can find my study of logging programs used during the ARRL 10 Meter contest at: http://www.arrl.org/contest-results-articles in the Full article on the 2014 ARRL 10 Meter contest. But to echo what others have said:

* Win-Test -- relatively few users, but with big logs. On average the biggest of any logging program by a wide margin. * N1MM Family -- many users, with average size logs. Of course with 47% of the logs submitted from N1MM & N1MM+ it is a big driver of the average. * N3FJP -- a quarter of the users as N1MM family, twice that of Win-Test, but with small logs.

As a trend Win-Test and Writelog are decreasing in usage while N1MM is increasing. Though the shifts are small. Once someone learns a logger they tend to stick with it.
