I also keep gasoline stabilizer in the gas that I keep in my Honda EU2000i's tank and my extra gas cans. You can buy fuel stabilizer at Advance Auto Parts or other auto stores.

You must have followed the directions for long-term storage, no fuel in the
tank, completely dry carburetor, run some oil through, etc. Those Hondas
are notorious for getting gummed-up carburetors if you leave them sit with
fuel in the system for over a few weeks or so. Then again, that could just
be the USA's crappy ethanol-laced gasoline causing the problem.

I spend a little extra per gallon at the farm co-op for ethanol-free fuel
and apply fuel treatments. I start my generator every week or two just to
keep fresh fuel cycled through the system. The average cost for getting
the carburetor cleaned/repaired at the Honda dealer is around $100, and
they're usually not open at night when the power's out. ;)
