The DX Doubler manual, available on the Top Ten Devices website, has
diagrams (in Appendix A) for interfacing the DXD to several radio brands
including the FT1000mp.  That diagram can answer your question regarding
connections to the FT5000/3000.

I imagine that they both use the same standard KEY and headphone plugs and
possibly the same mic wiring.  Interfacing it with a modern computer is the
tricky part.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge on interfacing a DX Doubler with
FT5000/3000? Would DX Doubler cabling built for FT1000 work with the
5000/3000 radios?
