Why there's always sterile debate ?
Rules are there (and ask more and more to follow) just because some smart ass
are trying to cheat.
And it's quite simple. You're okay with the rules you take part and respect the
rules. You're against the rules (even if it's just with one line) submit the
log as check log or don't take part.
CC don't ask systematically the top 5 audio recording but only if they need to
clarify something in the log and/or about the way it operates.
By the way providing a log with complete frequencies help CC to check on SDR
(at least for log padding).
If you're in the top 5 and that you're not able to provide an audio recording
(no matter if it wasn’t the intention to be in the top 5. Too easy… everyones
can say that), you just have to be agree with the CC decision (especially if
there are no frequencies on the log, easiest way to check is the recording).
NB: even if you’re not trying to be in the top 5 but you know that you’ll do a
serious effort, a digital voice recorder + an Y adapter will cost you maximun
50 USD… (and it works also with SO2R setup) 😉
