For those reading my prior post, REMOTEHAMS.COM IS NOT REMOTEHAMRADIO.COM.

RemoteHamRadio.com is the above-board Remote Station business run by W2RE,
WW2DX and company. They will not allow you to operate without a US
license, and you will be
immediately removed from the system if you use anything but your US Call.

RemoteHams.com is a free suite of software and a website run by Brandon,
KG6YPI (An employee of Elecraft, but no association between the two.)
Brandon let's the user's of his site and the remote station owners
determine the legality of the operators operating the remote stations.
Since it is up to the station owners,
who are OFTEN misled or misunderstand the laws of their country, there are
abuses. I was referring to RemoteHanms, and not to RemoteHamRadio, when
talking about the suspect German Call.

As many of you know, I try to tow the line in my remote operations (which
are private stations in the US and Canada). We need to encourage
everybody to follow the rules, otherwise, it may get spoiled for all.

If a Transmitter is in the United States, you must hold a US License, and
use that US Callsign, when operating a transmitter here.
If a Transmitter is in Canada, you must hold an Advanced Amateur
certificate when operating a transmitter in Canada.
For these two countries, no exceptions. For other countries in the world,
there are varying rules and/or accepted standards.

73.
