The whole point of lighting up rare and difficult multipliers is just that -- making the contest more fun for everyone. And being rare DX is a ton of fun -- for the last 15 years, I've been part of teams that light up rare counties for CQP, and for 10 years, for 7QP. Over the years, my teammates have included K6SRZ, W6JTI, NI6T, W6GJB, N6NUL, N6RNO, WN6A, K6MI. NCCC sponsors CQP, and a major goal is to have viable operations in every county on both modes. In CQP, we operate as W6BX or KU6W; in 7QP, we grab a 1x1 7-call. k9yc.com/7QP.pdf shows W6GJB contesting trailer and how we've used it to light up as many as six counties.
