Thanks to K1TTT and many others who responded with the correct method to
get rid of this annoying little problem. The fix was to put
DEVICEHIGH=\DOS\ANSI.SYS
in my CONFIG.SYS file. Apparently CT needs this driver to be loaded to
recover your monitor mode back to "normal" after using VGA node.
