Actually, the "fixed column" thing is a bit bogus. The computer is *not*
looking at each position rather at each field. I found that out in the June
VHF QSO Party. My file had the "59" in the spot where the "report" goes.
It had the EL95 in the spot for the grid.... REJECTED. I had to delete all
the 59's and replace them with EL95.
What they are actually looking for is the tab delimited sequence of fields.
It's probably better to try to also get the correct position in case they
change the program!
Once you have the definition for a contest, you cannot have extra columns
either. Hence in the June VHF QSO Party, the 59 had to be dropped, although
the rules say that it's an "optional" part of the report.

By adding the extra letter does that mess-up the "fixed column"????
In notepad adding the extra letter wraps the line, in Word the extra letter
is the 81st character on the line.
