I was having all kinds of problems connecting to some devices on my local
network. I talked with Regie at Karlnet today and he helped me solve the
problem.

When I was trying to configure this thing, I was connected wirelessly to my
ethernet (1 connection). I also had my ethernet card enabled (2
connections) but not plugged in. Then, I have a VPN to connect with my
office which has 3 more connections. Then, I connected to the AP-1000 using
a cross-over cable through the ethernet card (all other connections
disabled). Worked first time!

I'm an idiot when it comes to routing, but I'll try to pass on what Regie
told me... He said that when I was assigning an IP address to the AP-1000,
that Win2K was also adding routes for the device on every connection I had
enabled. Then, it would try to connect to the AP through all of them and
timeout.

I'll be config'ing my APs from now with a cross over cable whenever possible
or at least disabling all of the other adaptors in my notebook if connecting
via the ethernet.

Bill
