Why not just translate the alphanumeric that's on the SEC into hex?  That's
what we do dor stuff that doesn't play nice.  Use:

I'm guessing that these devices will never talk encrypted together.  Anybody
have any advice?  (aside from the obvious of not using the 350BR.)
