There is a standard called 802.3af and if the board design follows that standard, there are no problems. Of course the RouterBOARD 200 follows those and we have cable runs up to 150m even with POE (I have not tried longer cables yet). I don't know if you can boot Karlnet software on it or not. Of course, you can boot MikroTik RouterOS or an Linux based AP/client code.
