Hallo Bruno,
I had similar problem with COR AP1000 based: No empty PCMCIA sockets in
configurator, only ethernet.
I opened AP1000 and there was "HOT" PCMCIA controller CLGD???? (i am not sure
yet)
Damaged chip was replaced in local SMD service
