Norm, I am currently having the same trouble on one of my links. All of our software is ver 4.44-02. Most of our hardware is Lucent AP-1000 or AP-IIE with a single Flash ROM unit in the system as well. RF tests shows good link snr with no drops until load is applied. Ping fill and other tests show thru put in excess of 2Mbits, but with any load over 100Kbits, ping times go from a steady 10-20ms to 700+ms with lots of jitter. Currently, we have replaced our radio cards, pigtails, flashed hardware, amp power injectors and amp power supplies. Our next step will be to replace the amp, but that must wait for better weather. If that doesn't work, my next step will be to try using 2 different boxes for this link instead of 2 radio cards in one box. You might consider trying this yourself. One odd thing we have seen from time to time is a pattern in the ping times under load. Something like this : 200ms 750ms 200ms 790ms 190ms 710ms And so on. Are you seeing anything like this? -- Blair Davis West Michigan WISP www.wmwisp.net (269) 686-8648 AOL Instant Message Screen Name theory240
