I think the other Andy was saying that he wasn't real impressed with the
Hyperlink amps...it's a different company than YDI.

I put the amp close to the antenna to minimize RF loss along the
transmission line. This way I can feed the amp/antenna 50' away from the
base station running a 20mW card using LMR 900. I actually think this is
overkill, but it's what we had. I haven't run the numbers, but I think the
amp would still fire over that length of LMR 600.
