If you have this particular set up working 100% I'd like to hear from you.
I had an ORION and used it successfully with a Rig Expert SD (June 2006) and
the latest version of MixW (v 2.17).
Now I have an ORION II and have just a couple problems when using the Rig
Expert SD, MixW and ORION II combination on digital modes:
1) Tuning the radio VFO knob will NOT change the displayed frequency on the Mix
W software program. (But tuning MixW does change the ORION II display)
2) Pushing any Band select button on the ORION II will change the receive
display in MixW to show the appropriate bandwidth, however will not show the
change in the band or the frequency. (But clicking the MixW CAT bar does change
the band and mode on the ORION II)
I have spent lot's of time on the phone with TenTec and Rig Expert and have
come down to this sticking point. I have tried a TT Master reset and a RAM
reset of the radio.
