Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Aug 07 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No sunspots were observed on the visible disk and no CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low all three days (7-9 Aug).
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels all three days (7-9 Aug) and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected background conditions. Wind speed was steady below 400 km/s. Total field peaked at 8 nT while Bz dropped to a low of -7 nT. Phi angle shifted from a negative to a postive orientation at approximately 07/0645 UTC.
Forecast: The solar wind environment may undergo a minor enhancement on day one (7 Aug) due to the influence of an isolated, positive polarity CH HSS. Solar wind conditions are likely to be ambient on days two and three (8-9 Aug).
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet, with a few isolated unsettled periods likely on day one (7 Aug) in response to a minor enhancement in the solar wind environment. Days two and three (8-9 Aug) are expected to be mostly quiet under a slow solar wind regime.
