Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 04 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 04-06 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a peak flux of 12,435 pfu at 03/2040 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 04-05 Sep with moderate levels expected by 06 Sep. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of a background solar wind regime. Solar wind speeds ranged between 335-385 km/s, total field averaged between 1-6 nT, while the Bz component was between +/-4 nT. Phi angle was variable throughout the period.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain near nominal levels for most of the forecast period (04-06 Sep). Late on 06 Sep, solar wind parameters are expected to become enhanced due to the anticipated arrival of a CIR ahead of a negative polarity coronal hole.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: Generally quiet conditions are expected on 04-06 Sep under a nominal solar wind regime. Late on 06 Sep, geomagnetic field conditions are expected to become unsettled due to the anticipated arrival of a CIR ahead of a negative polarity coronal hole.
